Product description is under construction. Specify the parameters, price and delivery options before buying!
Rockstable SFP-10G-SR-S-C is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver designed for multimode fiber links operating at 850 nm. The module provides a compact, hot-pluggable interface for switches, servers and media converters, enabling short-reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections. It is intended for data center uplinks and campus backbone segments where reliable 10 Gbps multimode connectivity is required and supports straightforward installation and replacement with minimal downtime.
The transceiver supports short-reach 10GBASE-SR transmission over multimode fiber at 850 nm and is compatible with standard SFP+ ports. Its hot-pluggable design allows inline replacement without powering down the host device, and the compact SFP+ form factor saves space in populated chassis. The module is engineered for interoperable operation with common network equipment and provides stable optical performance suited for high-density networking environments.
Insert the SFP+ transceiver into an available SFP+ slot on a compatible switch, server NIC or media converter until it seats securely. Connect LC duplex multimode fiber patch cords between devices, ensuring correct transmit/receive orientation. After insertion, verify link status and speed on the host device; allow the host to recognize the module and establish the 10 Gbps link. For removal, power-down procedures are not required for hot-pluggable operation, but follow the host vendor’s guidelines for safe removal to avoid transient link issues.
Use the module with OM3/OM4 multimode fiber to achieve expected short-range distances and verify fiber attenuation and connector cleanliness before installation. Confirm compatibility with the host equipment firmware and optics policy to ensure proper negotiation at 10 Gbps. Avoid exposure to excessive dust and physical stress on the fiber connectors; store unused transceivers in protective packaging.
