Network patch cable ROLINE FTP Cat.5e, 2 m, F/UTP, RJ-45 — black
ROLINE FTP Cat.5e patch cable, 2 m, F/UTP with RJ-45 connectors provides a shielded, flexible connection for Ethernet and structured cabling up to Category 5e performance. The cable features four pairs of stranded copper conductors arranged with foil shielding (F/UTP) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Each end is fitted with screened RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts and moulded kink protection for improved durability and reliable signal transmission in office or data-closet environments.
The foil-shielded construction (F/UTP) improves signal integrity by providing complete shielding with aluminium-clad polyester foil, which helps suppress external electromagnetic interference. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs ensure consistent electrical contact and corrosion resistance, while moulded kink protection and a flexible jacket support tight bends and regular handling without compromising performance.
Insert the screened RJ-45 plug into the corresponding RJ-45 port on your network device until it clicks to establish a secure connection. Use the 2 m length to connect nearby equipment such as a switch to a patch panel or a workstation to a wall outlet. Ensure both ends are fully seated and avoid excessive twisting or pulling. For best results, maintain proper cable routing and avoid sharp bends beyond the cable's bend radius.
For optimal performance, route the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as heavy-duty electrical equipment and unshielded power cables. Use shielded patch panels or properly grounded network hardware when deploying F/UTP cables to ensure the shield is effective. Regularly inspect connectors and the jacket for damage and replace the cable if shielding or connector integrity is compromised.
