The ROLINE FO Jumper Cable 50/125µm OM4 LC/LC Low-Loss 10m is a duplex multimode fiber patch cable designed for high-bandwidth network links. It uses OM4 fiber and low-loss LC connectors to provide stable transmission for applications such as 10 Gb/s Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF links up to 550 meters. The cable has a purple jacket and is assembled to deliver low insertion loss and good return loss for demanding backbone and data center environments.
The OM4 fiber and high-quality low-loss LC connectors minimize insertion loss and reflection, enabling reliable performance at very high bandwidths. Compared with standard LC connectors (typical attenuation ≈ 0.5 dB), low-loss LC connectors reduce typical attenuation to approximately 0.15 dB. The cable’s modal bandwidth (EMBc-based) of 4700 MHz·km supports extended reach for medium and long building backbones while maintaining signal integrity. Materials and assembly conform to ROLINE quality standards.
Install the duplex LC/LC jumper by inserting each LC connector into the corresponding LC adapter or transceiver port until it clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends (observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius) and secure it with appropriate cable organizers to prevent strain on connectors. Verify link performance with appropriate fiber test equipment after installation.
Use the low-loss LC/LC jumper for critical high-speed links and backbone segments where reduced insertion loss and higher modal bandwidth improve reach and margin; clean connectors before mating and avoid excessive bending to maintain performance.
