The ROLINE 21.15.8876 is a 7 m LC OM4 violet fibre optic cable designed for high-speed data transfer and reliable connectivity in data centers and enterprise networks. The OM4 multimode fibres and quality low-loss LC connectors provide low insertion loss and support high bandwidth transmission over extended distances.
The OM4 fibre and high-quality connectors deliver very low insertion loss, ensuring consistent performance at high bandwidths. The cable supports 10 Gb/s Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF applications up to 550 m, extending cost-effective system use to long building backbones and medium-length campus backbones. ROLINE material and assembly quality combined with low-loss connectors result in improved insertion loss and reflection values compared with standard connectors; typical attenuation of a standard LC connector is around 0.5 dB, while a low-loss LC connector typically shows about 0.15 dB. Modal bandwidth is 4700 MHz·km for OM4 50/125µm duplex cables.
Connect one LC connector to the appropriate LC port on network equipment and the other end to the corresponding LC port on the mating device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are clean before insertion to minimise insertion loss and reflection. Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid tension; respect recommended bend radius for multimode fibre to maintain performance. Label both ends if required for easy identification within racks or patch panels.
Use in controlled indoor environments such as data centres and network rooms. Clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before each connection. Store unused jumper neatly coiled and protected from dust and mechanical stress. For links approaching the maximum supported distance, verify link budget and loss with appropriate test equipment.
