The ROLINE Cat.5e 19" Patch Panel provides 24 shielded ports in a light grey sheet steel housing, designed for structured cabling systems that follow EIA/TIA 568 Cat.5e (TSB40A) requirements. The rear cable termination uses LSA-plus connection technology with colour coding on top according to EIA/TIA 568, delivering a compact and robust solution for organizing and managing network cabling.

How to use

Mount the patch panel in a 19" rack or cabinet and route the shielded Cat.5e cables to the rear. Terminate each cable pair into the LSA-plus blocks following the top colour coding in accordance with EIA/TIA 568. After termination, secure cable shields to the panel ground and install patch cords into the front ports to connect network devices. Verify connections and perform channel testing if required.

Usage recommendations

For a structured cabling system, use shielded Cat.5e S/FTP cables and compatible shielded flush or surface-mount jacks and patch cords. ROLINE recommends combinations such as ROLINE Cat.5e S/FTP Cable (AWG24), shielded wall jacks and ROLINE Cat.5e S/FTP patch cords. In our laboratory tests this cable–plug combination met Class D specifications over a 100 m channel.
