Server cabinet ROLINE 19-inch Basic 42U, 600×1000 mm, perforated, IP20, 94 kg
ROLINE 19-inch Basic 42U server cabinet, 600×1000 mm, is a freestanding network enclosure designed for mounting servers, networking and telecom equipment in data rooms and server closets. The cabinet offers a 42U rack capacity with a maximum usable mounting depth of 950 mm, perforated panels for improved airflow, adjustable depth rails and feet, and IP20 protection. Constructed from robust sheet steel with electrostatic powder coating, the cabinet is available in grey and provides removable side and rear panels plus a lockable, removable front door for secure yet accessible equipment installation.
The ROLINE Basic 42U cabinet combines a solid steel construction with practical features for efficient rack installations: perforated front and rear panels and roof ventilation provisions support passive and active cooling; adjustable, reversible 19" profile rails and additional depth struts allow flexible mounting of devices up to the specified maximum depth; multiple cable inlet points in the base and roof simplify cable routing and reduce installation time. Removable panels and a reversible hinge door improve access for maintenance, while the IP20 rating and stable base support typical indoor data-room environments.
Place the cabinet on a level floor and adjust the feet to ensure stability. Remove the front door and side panels as needed to install equipment. Position devices on the adjustable 19" profile rails, set the required mounting depth (maximum 950 mm) and secure devices with standard rack screws. Route power and network cabling through the base or roof cable inlets and secure cable runs to avoid strain on connectors. If required, install fan modules in the roof cut-out to increase active cooling. After installation, reattach panels and lock the front door to protect equipment.
For reliable operation, maintain adequate airflow by using the perforated front and rear panels and consider adding active ventilation for high-density or heat-generating equipment. Distribute device weight evenly and keep the heaviest units at the bottom of the cabinet to preserve stability and ensure the specified maximum load is not exceeded. Use proper cable management and strain relief when routing power and network cables through the provided inlets.
