Networking cable Secomp Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP) 5 m — violet, RJ-45 to RJ-45
Secomp Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP) networking cable, 5 m, violet, with RJ-45 to RJ-45 connectors. Model 21.05.0556 is a patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission up to 10 Gigabit where Cat6a performance and improved shielding are required. The cable features foiled pairs with an overall braided shield to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, and comes with standard RJ-45 straight male plugs on both ends for plug-and-play connectivity.
The S/FTP (S-STP) construction combines individual pair foil shielding and an overall braided shield to provide enhanced EMI protection and lower alien crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. Cat6a specification supports 10 Gbps network speeds over suitable infrastructure. A 5 m length offers flexibility for typical patching scenarios in racks, workstations, or between network devices, while the violet jacket helps with visual cable identification.
Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network device (switch, router, server NIC) and the other to the target port (patch panel, workstation, or another switch). Ensure both ends are fully inserted until the connector latch clicks. For best performance maintain proper cable routing without tight bends and avoid running parallel and close to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference.
Use this Secomp Cat6a S/FTP cable for short to medium patching runs where 10 Gbps capability and shielding are required; verify that connected equipment and patch panels support Cat6a performance. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation to preserve shielding and connector integrity.
