Networking cable Secomp Cat.6a 2 m S/FTP (S‑STP) orange RJ‑45–RJ‑45
Secomp Cat.6a 2 m S/FTP (S‑STP) orange RJ‑45–RJ‑45 is a network patch cable designed for short-run high-speed Ethernet connections. Compliant with Category 6a performance, the cable provides support for up to 10 Gbps over typical horizontal distances and features individually foil-shielded pairs with an overall braided shield to reduce electromagnetic and crosstalk interference. Both ends are terminated with RJ‑45 male connectors and the bright orange jacket aids cable identification in structured cabling environments.
The S/FTP (S‑STP) construction combines foil shielding around each twisted pair and an outer braided screen for improved immunity to external noise sources, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. The 2 m length is convenient for patching between switches, patch panels and wall outlets without excess slack. RJ‑45 terminations ensure compatibility with standard Ethernet ports and enable plug-and-play installation without additional tools or configuration.
Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the network port of your switch, router, patch panel or wall socket and the other connector into the target device such as a computer, access point or network appliance. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a reliable electrical and mechanical connection. Use the 2 m length to avoid excess cable loops; if routing through cable management, follow standard bend radius guidance to avoid damaging the internal conductors and shields.
Use shielded patch panels and maintain correct grounding practices when deploying S/FTP cables to realize full shielding benefits. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage mains wiring for extended distances to reduce noise pickup. For best performance, test network links after installation with appropriate certification or validation tools if used in critical or commercial installations.
