Secomp Cat6 S/FTP networking cable, 5 m, RJ-45–RJ-45, grey
Secomp Cat6 S/FTP networking cable, 5 m, RJ-45–RJ-45, grey
Secomp Cat6 S/FTP networking cable, 5 m length, provides Cat6 performance for wired Ethernet connections. The cable uses S/FTP shielding (overall braided shield with individually foil-wrapped pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain stable data transmission. Fitted with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends and finished in grey, it is suitable for connecting switches, routers, PCs and other network devices in home, office or rack environments.
The S/FTP construction improves protection against crosstalk and external EMI compared with unshielded alternatives, helping to preserve signal integrity over the full 5 m length. Standard RJ-45 male terminations allow plug-and-play installation with common Ethernet ports. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and lower crosstalk than Cat5e, making the cable appropriate for typical gigabit networking requirements.
Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other connector into the corresponding port on the switch, router or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. For permanent installations in racks or cabinets, secure the cable with appropriate cable management accessories.
Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for short to medium-length links up to 5 m where improved shielding is needed. Avoid repeated flexing near the connectors and keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines to minimise interference and prolong service life.
