SecurityNET PC-5EUTPPVC-RD0.25 Cat.5e U/UTP PVC Red Network Patch Cord 0.25m

The SecurityNET PC-5EUTPPVC-RD0.25 Cat.5e U/UTP PVC Red Network Patch Cord 0.25m is a reliable networking cable designed for efficient data transmission in local area networks. Measuring 0.25 meters in length, this red patch cord helps maintain a clean and organized cable management system, particularly in high-density patch panels, switch racks, and desktop setups where space is limited and cable clutter needs to be minimized.

Advantages

Constructed with standard Cat.5e U/UTP specifications, this network patch cord ensures stable signal transmission for everyday home and office networking needs. The flexible PVC outer jacket provides essential protection against daily wear and tear while maintaining the cable's pliability for easy routing in tight spaces. Its compact 0.25-meter length eliminates excess slack, reducing potential signal interference and improving overall airflow in network cabinets. The distinctive red color allows for quick visual identification and color-coding of specific network connections or devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers and laptops to network wall outlets
• Linking network switches and routers in patch panels
• Short-distance connections in server racks and cabinets
• Color-coding specific network segments or critical devices

When it may not be suitable

This patch cord is not suitable for long-distance network runs between rooms or separate floors due to its fixed 0.25-meter length. It is also not recommended for industrial environments that require shielded cables or heavy-duty outdoor-rated jackets to withstand extreme weather and physical stress.

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat.5e U/UTP
• Jacket material: PVC
• Length: 0.25m
• Color: Red

How to use

To use the patch cord, insert the RJ45 connector at either end into the network port of your networking device, computer, switch, or router until you hear a secure click. Ensure the release clip is functional and undamaged before plugging it in. When disconnecting, gently press the plastic retention tab down and pull the plug straight out without applying excessive force to the cable itself to prevent damage to the internal wires and connectors.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 0.25-meter length is sufficient for the distance between your connected devices
• Check that your network equipment supports standard U/UTP Cat.5e connections
• Consider whether the red color fits your cable organization and color-coding plan

Usage recommendations: To maintain optimal signal integrity, avoid bending the patch cord at sharp angles or pinching it with heavy objects. Ensure cable runs are kept away from electrical power lines to minimize potential electromagnetic interference.
