The SecurityNET UTP Cat.6 patch cable is a professional-grade networking solution engineered for high-speed data transmission and reliable connectivity. Measuring 0.25 meters in length, this cable is specifically designed for short-range connections where space management and signal integrity are paramount. Encased in a durable yellow PVC jacket, it provides both physical protection and easy visual identification within complex cable management systems.
Advantages
This Cat.6 patch cable offers superior performance for local area networks by supporting high bandwidth requirements and minimizing crosstalk. The compact 0.25-meter length helps reduce cable clutter in server racks and patch panels, promoting better airflow and organization. Its robust PVC construction ensures long-term durability and resistance to everyday wear, making it a dependable choice for maintaining stable network infrastructure in both home and professional environments.
Suitable for
- Connecting network switches to patch panels
- Short-distance links between routers and modems
- Organizing server rack equipment
- Home office networking setups
- Connecting desktop computers to wall outlets
When it may not be suitable
This cable is not intended for long-distance connections due to its short 0.25-meter length. It is also not suitable for outdoor use or environments where the cable may be exposed to extreme temperatures, moisture, or direct sunlight, as the standard PVC jacket is designed for indoor conditions.
Key specifications
- Category: Cat.6
- Cable type: UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair)
- Length: 0.25 meters
- Jacket material: PVC
- Color: Yellow
How to use
To use the cable, simply insert the RJ45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your networking device until you hear a click. Ensure the connection is secure at both ends. For optimal performance, avoid bending the cable at sharp angles or placing heavy objects on top of it, as this can damage the internal wiring and degrade signal quality.
What to consider before purchase
- Verify the required length for your specific setup to ensure 0.25 meters is sufficient.
- Confirm that your networking equipment supports Cat.6 standards for maximum speed.
- Check if your environment requires shielded cables (STP) instead of unshielded (UTP).
Usage recommendations
For the best network performance, keep patch cables away from power lines to prevent electromagnetic interference and ensure that connectors are kept clean and free of dust.
