The SecurityNET CAT6 U/UTP network cable is a high-performance solution engineered for reliable data transmission in modern local area networks. This unshielded twisted pair cable is designed to support high-speed connectivity, ensuring stable performance for demanding networking environments. With a 305-meter length, it is an ideal choice for large-scale professional installations, providing sufficient cabling for extensive infrastructure projects.
Advantages
This cable features a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket, which significantly enhances safety by minimizing toxic smoke emissions in the event of a fire. The Dca fire safety rating ensures compliance with stringent building regulations, making it a responsible choice for indoor environments where safety is paramount. The high-quality construction of the CAT6 standard provides excellent signal integrity and reduced crosstalk, facilitating efficient data transfer across your network.
Suitable for
- Professional local area network (LAN) installations
- Office and commercial building data cabling
- High-speed internet distribution within indoor environments
- Structured cabling systems requiring fire-rated materials
When it may not be suitable
This cable is not designed for outdoor use or direct burial, as the LSZH jacket is not resistant to UV radiation or moisture. It is also an unshielded (U/UTP) cable, meaning it may not be the optimal choice for environments with high levels of electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling would be required to maintain signal quality.
Key specifications
- Cable Category: CAT6
- Shielding Type: U/UTP (Unshielded)
- Jacket Material: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
- Fire Rating: Dca
- Length: 305 meters
How to use
To install the cable, carefully pull the required length from the spool, ensuring that the minimum bend radius is maintained to prevent internal damage to the conductors. Terminate the ends using compatible CAT6 RJ45 connectors or patch panels according to standard T568A or T568B wiring schemes. Ensure that the cable is routed through appropriate conduits or cable trays to protect it from physical stress during and after installation.
What to consider before purchase
- Verify the total length required for your project to ensure the 305-meter spool is sufficient.
- Confirm that the U/UTP (unshielded) design meets the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of your installation site.
- Check local building codes to ensure the Dca fire rating meets the specific safety requirements for your facility.
Usage recommendations
Always test the cable continuity and performance with a professional network tester after termination to ensure optimal data transmission speeds and signal integrity throughout the network.
