Infrared Cooker Sencor SCP4001BK — 2-zone combo: 1 induction (12–26 cm), 1 radiant, touch & knob controls
The Sencor SCP4001BK is a two-zone cooker combining an induction and a radiant hotplate in a single compact unit. The appliance features a touch panel together with a classic knob for setting temperature and power level, a large red-backlit LCD display and a timer for delayed shut-off (1–180 minutes). The induction zone uses magnetic cookware and heats the cookware base directly for faster cooking and lower power consumption, while the radiant zone works with any cookware and reaches higher surface temperatures. The smooth glass-ceramic surface is easy to clean and the cooktop includes automatic cookware detection and safety functions such as overheat indication and a control panel lock.
The combination of induction and radiant hotplates allows flexible use of magnetic and non-magnetic cookware. Induction cooking delivers high efficiency (up to 90%), reduced heat losses and faster cooking times with lower energy consumption. The radiant hotplate provides a wide temperature range for tasks requiring higher surface heat and is compatible with any cookware when the base is flat. Additional advantages include a clear LCD display, adjustable timer, ON/OFF standby control and a safety lock to prevent accidental changes.
Place the cooker on a stable, heat-resistant surface and connect to a suitable power outlet. Use magnetic-based cookware (verify with a magnet) on the induction zone; use any flat-based cookware on the radiant zone for optimal heat transfer. Switch the unit on using the ON/OFF button, select the desired zone, and set power in steps or select a temperature. Use the large LCD to monitor settings and set the timer if required. The induction zone will automatically switch off if cookware is removed or found unsuitable.
For best performance on the induction zone, use cookware with a flat magnetic base and a diameter within the 12–26 cm range. Clean the glass-ceramic surface only when the cooktop has cooled and avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the finish. Do not leave the cooker unattended during use and observe the overheat indicator for the radiant zone.
