Networking Cable Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 3 m Yellow
The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 3 m Yellow is a 3-metre networking cable designed for high-speed wired connections. It supports Cat6a performance with enhanced S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and is terminated with standard RJ-45 connectors for compatibility with routers, switches, patch panels, network cards and other Ethernet devices. The bright yellow jacket makes cable runs easy to identify in home or office installations.
The S/FTP construction combines an overall shield and individually foiled pairs to improve signal integrity in environments with multiple nearby cables or electrical equipment. Cat6a specification enables higher data rates and better performance over longer distances compared to lower category cables. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure broad device compatibility and plug-and-play installation. The 3 m length provides flexibility for desktop, rack, and short-run patching needs while the yellow color aids visual management.
For typical installation, plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other into the port of your router, switch or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. For rack or patch panel use, secure excess cable to maintain tidy runs and reduce stress on the connectors.
Use the cable for short to medium-length connections up to its specified length, and avoid tight bending radii or repeated heavy flexing. In high-interference environments, ensure both ends are properly seated and consider additional cable management to maintain shielding effectiveness. The yellow color can be used to designate specific networks or device groups for easier maintenance.
