Ethernet Network Cable ShiverPeaks CAT6 S/FTP PIMF 08-64015, patch/data cable
ShiverPeaks Ethernet Network Cable CAT6 S/FTP PIMF 08-64015 is a shielded patch/data cable designed for structured cabling and reliable data transmission. Built to meet CAT6 performance, this cable uses S/FTP construction — an overall braid with individual foil-shielded twisted pairs — to reduce alien crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. The cable supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds and stable LAN connectivity in office, data center and home network environments.
The S/FTP PIMF design provides enhanced protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, improving signal integrity over short and medium distances. The CAT6 specification ensures support for up to 1 Gbps Ethernet and improved bandwidth compared with older cabling categories. As a patch cable, it offers compact connectivity for switches, patch panels, routers and wall outlets while maintaining consistent electrical performance for typical networking tasks.
Connect one RJ45 end of the ShiverPeaks CAT6 S/FTP cable to the network device port and the other end to the target device, patch panel or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated to achieve reliable links and check device LEDs or management interfaces to confirm link speed and status. Use the cable for short patching runs inside racks, between switches and servers, or for connecting desktop devices to wall outlets. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force to preserve shielding and cable performance.
For optimal performance, keep shielded cables grounded at one end through connected equipment or patch panels that provide proper grounding. Maintain separation from high-voltage power cables and limit bend radius to the manufacturer’s guidance to prevent signal degradation. Use appropriate cable management to avoid kinks and mechanical stress.
