Network Cable ShiverPeaks 75550-W Cat.7 S/FTP PIMF — stranded patch cable for high-speed Ethernet
ShiverPeaks 75550-W Cat.7 S/FTP PIMF is a stranded patch cable engineered for high-speed Ethernet and structured cabling environments. The cable implements individually foil-shielded twisted pairs (S/FTP) with an overall shield and PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) construction to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. Available in a halogen-free white jacket and intended for professional LANs, server rooms, data centers and backbone links, this cable supports reliable Gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet connections while offering flexibility thanks to its stranded conductor design.
The S/FTP PIMF construction provides strong protection against near-end and far-end crosstalk as well as external EMI, improving signal integrity for high-frequency transmissions. The stranded conductor design makes the cable more flexible and suitable for patching and frequent handling compared with solid conductors. The halogen-free white jacket reduces hazardous emissions in case of fire and maintains a professional appearance in structured installations.
Use the ShiverPeaks Cat.7 S/FTP PIMF patch cable to connect network devices such as switches, patch panels, servers and workstations in patching scenarios. Ensure connectors and ports are compatible with shielded RJ45 terminations and that equipment grounding or shield bonding is implemented where required to maintain the effectiveness of the overall shield. Route the cable through cable management systems and avoid sharp bends to preserve signal performance and mechanical integrity.
For optimal performance, use shielded connectors and ensure proper grounding of the cable shield at least at one point in the installation. Avoid running the cable in parallel with strong electrical power lines over long distances to minimize EMI exposure. Select stranded patch lengths appropriate for patch bays and rack layouts to reduce stress on terminations.
