Patch Cable ShiverPeaks 6A S/FTP 500 MHz 0.25 m
ShiverPeaks Patch Cable 6A S/FTP 500 MHz 0.25 m is a shielded Ethernet patch lead designed for short, high-performance connections in 10 Gigabit and gigabit networks. The cable uses S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs, PIMF) construction and AWG 26/7 copper conductors to provide stable transmission with reduced near-end and alien crosstalk. The compact 0.25 m length is intended for short links between switches, patch panels and network devices where space is limited and shielded performance is required.
The S/FTP shielding with overall aluminium foil and individually shielded pairs improves immunity to electromagnetic interference and lowers crosstalk in dense cabling environments. The Cat 6A design supports frequencies up to 500 MHz and is suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications. Halogen-free construction reduces hazardous emissions in case of fire, and the RJ45 plug-to-plug format provides a ready-to-use solution for short patching tasks. TIA/EIA 568B wiring ensures compatibility with standard structured cabling terminations.
Plug one RJ45 connector into the network port of a switch, patch panel or device and the other RJ45 connector into the corresponding port to establish a network link. Use the short 0.25 m length for direct patching inside racks or between closely spaced devices to avoid excess cable slack. Ensure both connected devices support the required network speed and that ports are properly configured for 10 Gigabit operation if applicable.
For optimal performance, route the cable away from strong sources of interference and avoid sharp bends or kinks. Use shielded patch panels and maintain continuous shielding at connection points to preserve S/FTP effectiveness. Select this 0.25 m patch cable when a short, shielded connection is needed in high-density or noise-sensitive installations.
