Network cable ShiverPeaks 75725-AY CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF, shielded 4-pair, for 10G Ethernet
Shielded network cable ShiverPeaks 75725-AY CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF is designed for high-speed Ethernet applications where controlled electromagnetic interference and consistent 10G transmission are required. The cable features four individually foil-shielded twisted pairs with an overall foil wrap and a drain wire, delivering improved noise immunity and reduced crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. Constructed to meet Cat 6A performance levels, this cable is appropriate for structured cabling, data center links and Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments that demand reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections.
The S/FTP PIMF design provides both an overall shield and individual pair shielding, which helps minimize external EMI and pair-to-pair interference for better signal integrity. Solid construction and consistent twist geometry support stable high-frequency performance up to Cat 6A specifications. The cable’s shielded architecture improves suitability for environments with electrical noise and where long-run 10G links or PoE are required. The product is halogen-free, color-coded for easy identification, and optimized for use with shielded connectors and grounded installations.
Install the cable following standard structured cabling practices: route runs avoiding sharp bends and sources of continuous mechanical stress, maintain proper bend radius and separate from high-voltage power lines where possible. Terminate both ends with compatible shielded RJ45 connectors and ensure the cable shield is properly grounded at patch panels or metallic enclosures to preserve the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding. Use appropriate cable management and strain relief at entry points to maintain performance over time.
For reliable 10G transmission, verify connector and panel compatibility with shielded Cat 6A cables and perform post-installation testing (wiremap, NEXT, FEXT, and insertion loss) to confirm compliance with performance requirements. In installations carrying PoE, confirm that heat dissipation and bundle sizes comply with local standards to avoid temperature-related derating.
