ShiverPeaks PV4 T-Adapter Cable Set 2-to-1, 4 mm² conductors, red/black, 30 cm
ShiverPeaks PV4 T-Adapter Cable Set 2-to-1, 4 mm² conductors, red/black, 30 cm is a purpose-built low-voltage joining cable that combines two input conductors into a single output. It uses 4 mm² stranded copper conductors with color-coded insulation (red and black) and a 30 cm lead length to provide a compact, easily identifiable T-connection for battery, solar array or power distribution wiring. The construction is intended for direct power joining where a simple 2→1 merge is required without additional bulky hardware.
The PV4 T-adapter offers a space-saving solution for combining two feeds into one with minimal connector bulk. Color-coded red and black insulation simplifies polarity identification during installation. Using 4 mm² copper conductors ensures adequate current-carrying capacity for many low-voltage DC circuits while maintaining flexibility for routing. The fixed 30 cm lead length gives a predictable reach for standard installations.
This T-adapter is intended for low-voltage DC applications and is not designed for mains AC use or for environments requiring insulation or protection ratings beyond basic cable jacketing. It may not be appropriate where higher conductor cross-sections or specialized connectors are required for very high currents or where sealed, waterproof junctions are mandatory.
Identify the positive (red) and negative (black) conductors before connecting. Route the adapter so the lead length suits the installation and avoid sharp bends near the termination points. Connect the two input conductors to the respective source cables and attach the single output conductor to the load or distribution bus, ensuring secure mechanical and electrical connections using appropriate screw terminals, crimp connectors or solder joints as required by the installation. Observe correct polarity at all times and secure cables to prevent strain on the adapter.
Use the PV4 T-adapter in properly fused circuits and maintain correct polarity. For higher current demands or exposed installations, complement the adapter with appropriately rated protective devices and weatherproofing measures. Inspect connections periodically for corrosion and mechanical security.
