The ShiverPeaks Connector BS08-10001 is a tool-free quick STP Cat. 6A connector designed for shielded twisted-pair Ethernet cabling. It provides a rapid termination method for Cat6A installations where preserving shielding continuity and achieving 10GBASE-T performance are required. The connector supports shielded cables and is intended for field joins, patch panel adaptions and situations that demand a fast, reliable shielded connection without the need for traditional punchdown or crimping tools.
This tool-free STP Cat.6A connector simplifies installation by eliminating specialized termination tools, reducing installation time and minimizing handling errors. Its design maintains shield continuity between cable and connector, which helps control electromagnetic interference in shielded environments. The connector is suitable for repeated use during testing and temporary joins, and its straightforward termination method makes it accessible to technicians with basic cabling experience.
Prepare the shielded Cat6A cable by stripping the outer jacket and folding back or preparing the drain/shield according to the connector instructions. Insert the individual conductors into the designated slots of the connector following the color code and ensure the shield/drain is properly positioned to make contact with the connector body.
