SILVERSTONE SAS to 4×SATA Cable CPS05-RE 0.6 m SFF-8643 to 4×7-pin SATA
SILVERSTONE CPS05-RE Mini SAS SFF-8643 to 4×SATA 7-pin cable, 0.6 m is a purpose-built breakout cable that converts a single SFF-8643 Mini SAS HD port into four independent SATA 7‑pin connections. The cable follows the SAS 3.0 specification, providing up to 12 Gb/s per lane and a total solution for connecting multiple HDDs or SSDs in servers, storage enclosures and RAID adapter setups. The 600 mm length and industrial-grade woven sleeving are designed for compact system routing while maintaining mechanical protection and electromagnetic shielding.
The CPS05-RE supports SAS 3.0 speeds (12 Gb/s per lane) and uses a thick, shielded Mini‑SAS SFF-8643 connector paired with four SATA 7‑pin plugs to ensure reliable data throughput. The sideband (SGPIO) connection is included for status signalling and drive activity monitoring in compatible backplanes and enclosures. Heavy-duty connector construction and four independent lanes deliver stable performance for continuous server or workstation operation. The 0.6 m length balances reach and cable management in compact builds.
Install the Mini‑SAS SFF‑8643 connector into the target port on the RAID controller, host adapter or backplane, ensuring the latch engages for a secure fit. Route the 0.6 m cable within the chassis to avoid tight bends and excessive strain, then connect each SATA 7‑pin plug to the individual SATA device receptacles on HDDs or SSDs. Verify sideband/SGPIO wiring compatibility with the backplane or enclosure if drive activity indicators and status reporting are required. Power devices separately with the system power supply as this cable carries only data signals.
For reliable operation, avoid sharp bends and high‑compression areas when routing the cable; maintain gentle curves and secure with cable ties without overtightening. Confirm compatibility of SGPIO signals with the chassis or backplane before deployment, and use the cable within the intended internal environment of servers and storage systems to preserve shielding and connector integrity.
