Power underground cable Śląsk YKY 3x4 mm² 0.6/1 kV on drum
Śląsk YKY 3x4 mm² 0.6/1 kV on drum is a three-core underground power cable designed for fixed low-voltage distribution installations in the ground and in ducts. The cable features three conductors with a cross-section of 4 mm² each and insulation and outer sheath rated for a nominal voltage of 0.6/1 kV. Supplied on a drum, the product facilitates handling, transport and staged installation on site for residential, commercial and light industrial networks.
The cable combines suitable conductor cross-section and three-core configuration for typical single-phase and three-phase low-voltage circuits. Its construction provides mechanical protection and electrical insulation appropriate for buried installations and installation in conduits. Delivery on a drum reduces the risk of kinking or damage during transport and makes it easier to unroll measured lengths at the installation site.
Before installation, verify local regulations and burial depth requirements and ensure compatibility with the intended feeder and protective devices. Plan the route, clear the trench or duct, and unroll the cable from the drum keeping bends within the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Make mechanical and electrical terminations using appropriate connectors and ensure proper earthing and protective measures. Test insulation resistance and continuity before energizing and follow local electrical codes for burial marking and warning tapes.
For long-term performance, avoid direct mechanical damage during backfilling, use warning tape above the cable, and keep records of the installed route. Confirm that ambient soil conditions, chemical exposure and thermal constraints meet the cable’s application limits before installation.
