SMLT Drawing and sketching paper A3 160 g/m² 20 sheets
SMLT Drawing and sketching paper A3 160 g/m² 20 sheets offers a medium-weight, acid-free surface designed for a variety of dry and light wet media. The A3 format gives plenty of space for studies, composing larger sketches or producing final artwork. The paper's natural tooth and consistent weight support pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink and light mixed-media techniques while remaining durable for handling, erasing and scanning.
The 160 g/m² weight balances stiffness and flexibility, reducing buckling when erasing or applying moderate washes. Acid-free composition helps preserve artworks over time. A consistent, slightly textured surface provides reliable tooth for dry media and good ink control for line work. Packaged in 20 sheets, the pads are convenient for classroom use, practice sessions and portfolio work without excess bulk.
Work on a flat, clean surface and secure the sheet with low-tack tape or clips if you prefer a fixed edge. Begin with light construction lines in pencil, then build tone and texture with charcoal or pastel. For ink work, allow pencil underdrawings to be erased gently after the ink has fully dried. If using light water washes, apply sparingly and test on a corner first to check for any buckling. When finished, store flat or in a protective portfolio to prevent surface abrasion.
For best results, use soft pencils (B–4B) for shading, kneadable erasers for highlights and fixative spray only when necessary. Avoid heavy water applications; choose light washes or water-soluble pencils if you need more wet media support. Keep sheets dry and protected from direct sunlight to maintain paper quality.
