Keystone RJ45 CAT5E UTP insert, SOLARIX 90° angled punch-down, black
Keystone RJ45 CAT5E UTP insert, SOLARIX 90° angled punch-down, black
The SOLARIX keystone RJ45 CAT5E UTP insert offers a compact, 90° angled punch-down connection for standard Ethernet cabling. Built for use in modular patch panels, wall plates and keystone housings, this keystone provides a UTP interface compatible with CAT5E performance levels. Its black, low-profile body is designed for installations where space is limited and where horizontal or vertical mounting is required.
This keystone insert simplifies termination with a 90° punch-down layout that reduces cable bending in tight spaces and facilitates neat cable management behind panels and plates. The compact keystone form factor allows easy insertion into standard keystone frames and housings. The UTP design supports typical CAT5E Ethernet signals while keeping the component cost-effective and widely compatible with existing network infrastructure.
Prepare the UTP cable by stripping the outer jacket and arranging the conductor pairs according to the chosen wiring standard (TIA/EIA 568A or 568B). Insert each conductor into the corresponding IDC slot and perform the 90° punch-down using a compatible punch-down tool. After termination, snap the keystone insert into the chosen patch panel, wall plate or keystone housing until it locks in place. Test the connection with a cable tester to verify continuity and correct pair wiring.
For reliable performance, use the keystone insert with CAT5E-rated UTP cabling and avoid exceeding recommended bend radii near the termination. Ensure consistent wiring standard across the network to prevent cross-connection, and use a quality punch-down tool to avoid damage to the IDC contacts during installation.
