Fiber optic pigtail SC UPC singlemode 9/125, SOLARIX 1.5 m
Fiber optic pigtail SC UPC singlemode 9/125, SOLARIX 1.5 m
Singlemode fiber optic pigtail SC UPC from SOLARIX with 9/125 µm core/cladding and 1.5 m length provides a standardized connection point for splicing and permanent inline terminations. The 1.5 m cable integrates an SC UPC connector on one end and a stripped/ready-to-splice fiber on the other, enabling seamless integration into patch panels, distribution frames and equipment cabinets. This pigtail is intended to simplify fiber handling during installation and to maintain consistent optical performance in singlemode fiber networks.
The SOLARIX SC UPC singlemode pigtail offers low insertion loss and repeatable connector geometry consistent with UPC polishing, enabling stable signal transmission. Its 9/125 µm singlemode fibre ensures compatibility with standard singlemode links and passive components. The 1.5 m length provides sufficient slack for splice trays and rack installations without excessive cable management complexity. The product is designed for ease of fusion splicing and reliable mechanical protection at the connector end.
Prepare the fiber trunk by routing it into a splice tray and stripping the required length of the primary coating according to fusion splicing procedure. Clean the fiber and perform cleaving to achieve a proper end face. Position the SOLARIX SC UPC pigtail alongside the prepared fiber in the fusion splicer, execute the splice, and protect the joint with a heat-shrink sleeve or splice protector. After splicing, dress the pigtail into the patch panel or rack, secure excess cable, and install the SC UPC connector into the appropriate adapter or equipment port.
Use proper fusion splicing tools and cleavers, follow safety guidelines for fiber handling, and perform insertion loss and return loss measurements after installation to verify optical performance.
