SOLARIX SX9-2-5E-UTP-WH is a flush-mounted CAT5E UTP wall socket with two RJ45 ports angled at 45°. It is designed for standard unshielded Ethernet cabling and fits flush into walls or into skirting trunking; with the SX9-0-WH box it can also be surface-mounted. The white housing and compatibility with international wiring standards make it suitable for office, residential and cabinet installations that require reliable CAT5E performance.

Advantages

The SX9 double RJ45 socket complies with ANSI/TIA/EIA 568, ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173 requirements for category 5E, offers simple IDC (Krone) termination for AWG 26–22 conductors, and provides long-term reliability with at least 1,000 mating cycles on ports and 200 IDC terminations on the block. Contacts are plated with 50 µin gold over 100 µin nickel and the non-metallic parts use flame-retardant plastic (UL94-0). The angled ports and compact 80 × 80 mm form factor simplify installation in confined spaces.

How to use

Install the SX9 socket into a standard flush box or into skirting trunking following local electrical and cabling standards. Strip the UTP cable, insert individual wires into the Krone IDC block according to the chosen wiring scheme (T568A or T568B) as marked on the block, and press into the IDC to make the connection. Secure the module in the box and fit the front plate. For surface mounting, use the SX9-0-WH adapter box.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, use CAT5E or higher-quality UTP cabling, maintain correct pair untwisting lengths during termination, and choose the same wiring standard (T568A or T568B) at both ends of the link. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force on cables during installation.
