Heating mat Sourcing HEATING MAT 150W/m² 1.5 m² — underfloor electric heating mat, 150 W/m², area 1.5 m²
The Sourcing HEATING MAT 150W/m² 1.5 m² is an electric underfloor heating mat designed to deliver consistent radiant warmth under tile, stone or laminate surfaces. With a heating density of 150 W per square metre and a compact 1.5 m² coverage, the mat is intended for quick embedding in thinset or levelling compound and integration with a compatible thermostat and floor sensor. The product is suitable for use as either a primary heat source in small areas or as supplemental heating to improve comfort in bathrooms, kitchens and other confined spaces.
The mat offers an even heat distribution across the floor surface thanks to its fixed 150 W/m² output, ensuring predictable performance during design and installation. Its pre-spaced cable on a roll simplifies laying and reduces installation time compared with loose-wire systems. The low profile of the mat allows installation beneath typical tile or stone adhesives and over suitable subfloors without significantly raising finished floor height.
Confirm subfloor suitability and follow local electrical codes. Roll out the heating mat and cut the backing mesh to turn the mat as required; do not cut the heating cable. Fix the mat to the subfloor with adhesive recommended by the floor system manufacturer. Embed the mat in a layer of adhesive or levelling compound to the required depth and allow proper curing before installing the final floor covering. Install a compatible thermostat and floor sensor and connect electrical supply through a qualified electrician. Test the mat and control system according to manufacturer and local standards before regular use.
Use a dedicated thermostat with a floor temperature sensor to control the Sourcing heating mat and avoid exceeding recommended floor temperatures for the chosen floor covering. For wet areas, ensure junctions and connections are installed with appropriate IP-rated accessories and by a qualified professional. When using under laminate, verify the laminate manufacturer’s guidelines for compatibility with floor heating systems.
