Underfloor Heating Mat Sourcing HEATING MAT 150 W/m², 2.0 m²
Underfloor Heating Mat Sourcing HEATING MAT 150 W/m², 2.0 m²
Sourcing HEATING MAT 150 W/m², 2.0 m² is a preformed electric underfloor heating mat designed to deliver evenly distributed surface heat for tile and similar floor coverings. With a nominal output of 150 W per square meter and a total mat area of 2.0 m², this heating mat is intended for installations where moderate heat output and consistent warmth are required. The mat is supplied as a ready-to-lay system that can be embedded in thinset or levelling compound beneath ceramic, porcelain or natural stone tiles and suitable floor finishes.
The preformed mat construction simplifies installation by providing an evenly spaced heating element fixed to a fibreglass mesh, reducing the need to lay individual heating cables. The 150 W/m² output offers reliable radiant heat for targeted areas without excessive energy use, making it suitable for retrofit and new-build projects. Its flat profile allows it to be embedded under tile adhesive or levelling compounds, resulting in a low-build installation that does not significantly raise finished floor height. The mat is compatible with standard floor sensors and thermostats for controlled operation and even temperature distribution.
Install the Sourcing heating mat on a clean, dry, and stable substrate following local electrical regulations. Position the mat with the cable side facing away from the finished surface, secure it in place, trim the mesh where allowed but never cut the heating cable, and route the cold lead to the thermostat location. Test continuity and insulation resistance before embedding. Cover the mat with an appropriate tile adhesive or levelling compound and finish with the chosen floor covering. Connect the cold lead and thermostat wiring to a suitably rated supply by a qualified electrician and commission the system according to the thermostat and local wiring rules.
Use a dedicated floor sensor and a programmable thermostat to maintain comfortable floor temperatures and improve energy efficiency. For tiled floors, allow adhesive and grout to cure fully before first heating cycle and increase temperature gradually to avoid thermal stress. Ensure installation and final electrical connections are performed by a qualified electrician and comply with applicable building and electrical standards.
