The Staedtler Lumocolor 349 paint marker set (6 pcs) provides opaque, permanent colour suitable for writing, decorating and designing on a wide range of light and dark surfaces including paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, ceramic, wood and stone. The markers use a water-based acrylic ink that is low in odour, fast-drying and lightfast, delivering high colour brilliancy and reliable coverage for detailed and creative work.
Permanent, water-based acrylic ink offers excellent smudge-proof and waterproof performance on most surfaces. The fast-drying formulation and lightfast pigments preserve colour intensity, while the valve system ensures an even ink flow for clean, precise application compared with conventional tube acrylics. Colours can be mixed and watercoloured before drying and can be layered after drying for flexible techniques. Line width is approximately 2.4 mm.
Shake the marker before use to activate the valve system. Prime the tip by pressing it down several times on a scrap surface until the ink flows evenly. Apply to a clean, dry surface using consistent pressure to achieve an even 2.4 mm line. For blending, mix colours or apply water while the ink is still wet; for layering, allow each layer to dry before applying the next. Store horizontally when not in use to maintain even ink distribution.
For best results, test the marker on a similar scrap material before working on the final surface. Avoid use on heavily oily or unsealed surfaces. Cap tightly after use to prevent the tip from drying out.
