The StarTech.com Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable (45PAT50CMOR) is a 0.5 m orange network cable with RJ45 connectors, designed for Fast Ethernet (10/100Base-TX) connections and Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. Constructed with 24 AWG copper conductors and U/UTP cabling, this snagless cable provides reliable short-distance links for server racks, patch panels and network switches.

Advantages

This Cat5e cable includes snagless RJ45 connectors and moulded boots to protect connector clips and provide strain relief, reducing the risk of damage during installation. The conductors are 100% copper (24 AWG) to maintain signal integrity and keep Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) within acceptable limits. Gold-plated contacts (50 µm) improve conductivity and resist corrosion, helping prevent signal loss. The cable supports 100 Mbit/s data rates for Fast Ethernet environments and is available in a bright orange colour for easy identification and colour-coded installations.
