The StarTech.com DK30C2DPEPUE universal laptop docking station provides hybrid USB-C and USB-A connectivity, dual 4K60 display support via DisplayPort and HDMI, 100W Power Delivery, and multiple peripheral ports to expand a laptop workstation. The dock includes a 1 m combo host cable with an attached USB-C to USB-A adapter for compatibility with both USB-C and legacy USB-A laptops, and it is compatible with Mac, Windows® and Chrome OS™ systems.

Advantages

The dock is USB-IF, VESA DisplayPort and DisplayLink certified to ensure broad compatibility and reliable performance. It supplies up to 100W Power Delivery through a single cable when used with the included 150W power adapter, supports flexible dual-monitor configurations (dual 4K@60Hz via DP and/or HDMI, or single 5K via two DP ports when supported by the monitor), and provides a mix of ports including 1x USB-C, 3x USB-A (USB 3.1 Gen 1), Gigabit Ethernet with PXE Boot and Wake-on-LAN, and a 3.5 mm 4-position headset jack. How to use

Connect the dock to your laptop using the included 1 m combo cable; use the attached USB-A adapter if your laptop lacks a USB-C port. Attach external monitors to the DisplayPort and/or HDMI outputs according to the desired display configuration (dual 4K@60Hz or single 5K where supported). Plug the supplied 150W power adapter into the dock to enable up to 100W Power Delivery to charge your laptop while connected. Connect peripherals to the USB-C and USB-A ports, and attach network and audio devices to the RJ-45 and 3.5 mm ports as needed. Optionally mount the dock using the built-in mounting holes (mounting bracket sold separately).

For optimal video performance at 5K resolution, use a monitor that supports 5K over two DisplayPort inputs and ensure the latest firmware/drivers for DisplayLink and your operating system are installed.
