The StarTech.com USB-C Hub HB30C3A1GEA2 expands a USB-C port into three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) ports and one Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) port. The compact, bus-powered hub uses a built-in 1 ft (30 cm) USB-C host cable and provides a portable way to add wired network connectivity and multiple USB-A ports to laptops, tablets, and other USB-C devices.

Advantages

This hub provides Gigabit Ethernet with support for IEEE 802.3u/ab standards, Wake-on-LAN, Jumbo Frames and VLAN tagging to improve network reliability and performance. The three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports deliver up to 5 Gbps data rates and are backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. The hub draws power from the host (bus-powered) and each downstream port can supply up to 4.5 W (5 V / 0.9 A) with built-in overcurrent protection. A 1 ft (30 cm) integrated USB-C cable simplifies setup and reduces connector strain on laptops and 2-in-1 devices.
