Control an HDMI-enabled computer over an IP network using the AVoIP KVM Extender to operate a keyboard, mouse and a 4K 60Hz HDMI monitor remotely. The extender provides RS-232 serial pass-through and a 3.5mm audio passthrough while keeping the source system protected from unauthorized physical access and tampering. The transmitter includes a local HDMI output for nearby display connection and the kit contains transmitter and receiver units for wired IP deployment.

How to use

Connect the HDMI output of the source computer to the transmitter HDMI input and attach keyboard, mouse and optional local monitor to the transmitter. Connect transmitter and receiver to the same TCP/IP network using wired Ethernet. At the receiver, connect an HDMI monitor, keyboard and mouse to control the remote computer. If required, connect RS-232 devices to the three-wire serial port and route audio through the 3.5mm ports. No drivers or configuration software are required; once networked the units establish the connection for remote KVM control.

Recommendations

For reliable 4K 60Hz performance use a stable wired Ethernet network and appropriate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. Add compatible IP KVM receivers to expand to multiple remote stations. Mount units using the supplied kits for secure installations in professional or industrial environments.
