The StarTech.com 2m LC to LC OM5 Multimode 50µm fiber optic cable provides high-speed connectivity for 40G and 100G networks. With a 50/125 µm Laser-Optimized Multimode Fiber (LOMMF) core and support for SWDM across an extended 850–953 nm VCSEL range, this duplex LC-to-LC patch cord improves signal capacity and performance compared with OM4 while remaining backward compatible with OM4 and OM3 installations. The cable is housed in a green LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) flame-retardant jacket and is individually tested for insertion loss to meet TIA/EIA-568 standards.

Advantages

Precision ceramic ferrules and LC UPC polished endfaces ensure accurate fiber alignment and reduced insertion and return loss.
