The StarTech.com 3m LC to LC OM5 50/125µm duplex multimode fiber optic patch cable provides high-speed connectivity for 40G and 100G networks. With a 50 µm core and OM5 laser-optimized multimode fiber, it supports SWDM across an extended VCSEL wavelength range (850–953 nm) and is backward compatible with OM4 and OM3 systems. The cable features LC to LC UPC-polished connectors and a low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket for installations where reduced smoke and halogen emissions are required.

Advantages

Precision ceramic ferrules ensure accurate fiber alignment to minimize insertion loss and maintain signal integrity. The LC to LC UPC polished endfaces improve return loss compared with older PC polish types. OM5 LOMMF construction is optimized for VCSEL and 1300 nm LED sources, and each cable is individually tested to meet or exceed TIA/EIA-568 insertion loss standards.
