The StarTech.com 0.5 m slim CAT6 patch cable provides a Category 6 specification connection in a compact form factor for high-density network environments. This 0.5 m black cable uses 28 AWG copper conductors, features snagless RJ45 connectors and a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket, and is suitable for Gigabit Ethernet installations where space and airflow are important.

Advantages

The slim design is approximately 36% thinner than standard CAT6 cables, improving airflow and heat dissipation in crowded racks and tight cable runs. Snagless RJ45 connectors protect the clips during installation to reduce the risk of damage when routing through narrow spaces. Connectors plated with 50-micron gold provide reliable conductivity and resistance to oxidation. The cable is manufactured and tested to meet ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 Category 6 performance parameters and is constructed with high-quality copper to control near-end crosstalk (NEXT).
