Ethernet cable StarTech 15m CAT6 U/UTP RJ45 1 Gbps 650MHz 100W PoE White
The StarTech Ethernet cable 15m CAT6 U/UTP RJ45 in white is a Category 6 patch cable designed for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) networks. At 15 metres length, it supports Gigabit Ethernet data rates up to 1 Gbps, bandwidth up to 650 MHz and delivers Power over Ethernet (PoE) up to 100 W. The cable features RJ45 connectors with 50‑micron gold-plated contacts, a snagless plug design and molded strain relief for durable terminations. Constructed from 24 AWG 100% copper conductors and a white PVC jacket, the cable is suitable for office, server room and home network installations and is Fluke tested with UL/TIA wiring certification.
This Cat6 patch cable uses full 100% copper 24 AWG conductors to ensure reliable signal transmission and sustain PoE power delivery without the risks associated with copper-clad alternatives. Gold-plated 50‑micron contacts reduce oxidation and maintain low contact resistance. The snagless RJ45 design and molded PVC strain relief minimize connector damage and cable bending at termination points, improving longevity in installations. The white jacket provides a clean look and enables color-coding of cable runs.
Plug one RJ45 connector into the network switch, router or patch panel and the other into the target device such as a computer, access point or PoE camera. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the clip locks in place. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or pressure points; the molded strain relief reduces stress at the termination but standard cable management practices should be followed. For PoE devices, confirm equipment compatibility and power budgets on the supplying switch or injector.
For reliable long-term performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines, maintain bend radii greater than the cable diameter, and use proper patch panels or cable ties to prevent strain. Use the white jacket for visual cable management and color-coded installations. If using PoE at high power levels, verify that switches and devices support the required power class and monitor for heat buildup in dense installations.
