The StarTech.com NLBL-50C-CAT8-PATCH is a 0.5 m Blue Shielded LSZH Category 8 Ethernet patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors, designed for 25G/40G networks and supporting data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps. Constructed with 26AWG pure bare copper in a 4-pair S/FTP configuration and fluke channel tested, the cable provides high-frequency performance (up to 2000 MHz) and backward compatibility with Cat6/6a and Cat5/5e systems.

Advantages

This Cat8 cable uses pure bare copper 26AWG conductors and 4-pair S/FTP shielding (aluminum-mylar foil plus tinned copper braid) for improved conductivity, low resistance, and enhanced EMI protection. Snagless 50-micro gold-plated RJ45 connectors ensure a precise fit and durability beyond 750 mating cycles. The Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket reduces toxic fumes and smoke in the event of fire and permits safer indoor and constrained-space installations. Rated for -/+90° bends, the cable routes easily in confined spaces and supports PoE++ up to 100 W.
