StarTech.com's 1m CAT8 Ethernet Cable provides a shielded, snagless RJ45 connection for high-speed 25G/40G networks. Designed for data centers and high-performance networking, this Cat8 patch cable supports frequencies up to 2000 MHz and data rates up to 40 Gbps. It uses 26AWG pure bare copper conductors in an S/FTP (shielded and foiled twisted pair) construction and is backward compatible with Cat6/6a and Cat5/5e installations.

Advantages

The cable's 26AWG pure bare copper wire offers improved conductivity and low resistance for reliable signal transmission and minimal loss. Each twisted pair is shielded with aluminum-mylar foil and a tinned copper braid to enhance protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI). Snagless 50-micro gold-plated RJ45 connectors ensure a precise fit and are rated for over 750 mating cycles. The Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket is flame-retardant and emits low smoke and toxic fumes, suitable for installations where reduced smoke and fumes are required. The cable is flexible, supports -/+90-degree bends, and is Fluke channel tested to meet Cat8 performance standards.
