StarTech.com 50cm White CAT8 Ethernet Cable provides a shielded, snagless RJ45 connection for 25G and 40G networks. With a 2000 MHz bandwidth and 26AWG pure bare copper conductors in an S/FTP configuration, the cable is intended for high-speed links such as 25G/40GBASE-T switches, NAS, SANs and SFP modules while remaining backward compatible with Cat6/6a and Cat5/5e environments.

Advantages

The cable uses 4-pair S/FTP construction with aluminum-mylar foil and tinned copper braid shielding around each pair for improved EMI protection and minimal signal loss. Snagless RJ45 connectors feature 50-micro gold plating and are rated beyond 750 mating cycles for reduced wear. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket is flame-retardant and emits low smoke and toxic fumes in extreme heat, supporting safer installations in enclosed or regulated environments. The cable supports up to 100W PoE++ and is Fluke channel tested to meet Cat8 performance standards.

How to use

Plug one snagless RJ45 connector into the RJ45 port of the switch, NAS, SAN, SFP adapter, or other network device and plug the other end into the corresponding RJ45 port. Route the cable through cable management channels or trays, respecting the cable's -/+90-degree bend rating to avoid sharp kinks.
