The StarTech.com 5m CAT8 Ethernet Cable Snagless RJ45 25G 2000MHz provides a shielded, high-frequency connection for 25G/40G networks. This 5 m white Cat8 patch cable features snagless RJ-45 connectors and S/FTP (shielded and foiled twisted pair) construction with 26AWG pure bare copper conductors, delivering low resistance and minimal signal loss for reliable high-speed links. It is backward compatible with Cat6/6a and Cat5/5e and is Fluke channel tested to meet Category 8 performance.

Advantages

The cable supports up to 2000 MHz frequency and 25/40Gbps data rates while maintaining low electromagnetic interference through aluminum-mylar foil and tinned copper braid shielding on each pair. Gold-plated, snagless RJ-45 connectors rated for over 750 mating cycles ensure a secure fit and long connector life. The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket is flame-retardant and emits low smoke and toxic fumes in the event of fire, and the cable tolerates -/+90-degree bends for routing in confined spaces. It also supports up to 100W PoE (PoE++) for powered devices.
