This Wall Mounted Rack StarTech RK1224WALHM 12U is a 4-post, EIA-310 compliant wall-mount network cabinet designed to house servers, networking and AV equipment. The cabinet provides a hinged enclosure with removable and reversible front door and removable side panels, adjustable mounting depth from 2.4 to 19.7 in (60 to 500 mm), and passive ventilation via mesh doors and vented top and bottom panels. It includes a 1U shelf and a 3 m roll of hook-and-loop cable tie to help organize cabling. The rack supports a total load capacity up to 200 lb (90 kg) and is finished in black.

Mount the cabinet to wall studs using the 16 in (406 mm) spaced mounting holes for secure attachment. Adjust the mounting rails to the required depth for your rack-mountable equipment or use cage nuts/tapped rails as needed. Install equipment using standard EIA-310 rack mounting practices; place non-rack-mountable devices on the included 1U shelf. Route and secure cables with the supplied 3 m hook-and-loop cable tie and other cable-management accessories as required. Configure the hinge direction during installation so the rear door opens from the preferred side.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow, avoid blocking the mesh front door or vented panels. Securely fasten heavy equipment across multiple U spaces and verify wall stud capacity before mounting to ensure the 90 kg load is supported.
