The StarTech RK1233BKM freestanding 12U server rack cabinet provides a secure, compact enclosure for standard 19" rack-mount devices such as Dell, HP and IBM servers, network, telecommunications and A/V equipment. It is EIA-310 compatible and supports a maximum load capacity of 450 kg (992 lb). The cabinet ships fully assembled and features a sleek black finish suitable for office, studio or server-room environments.

Advantages

This 12U server rack offers adjustable mounting rails that extend rail depth from 76.2 mm (3") up to 762 mm (30.7") to accommodate a wide range of rack-mount equipment and additional cable and power management behind devices. Front and rear reversible locking mesh doors provide security while allowing passive airflow. Removable side panels with independent quick-release locks give convenient access to internal components. The rack includes grounding lugs, a 1U shelf for non-rackable equipment or tools, and ships with a 3 m roll of hook-and-loop cable tie for tidy cable routing. Casters are included for mobility and the cabinet dimensions fit standard doorways for easier placement.

How to use

Position the freestanding rack where you intend to deploy it and, if required, lock the casters to stabilise the cabinet. Adjust the mounting rails to the correct depth for your rack-mount equipment, install devices into the 19" mounting rails, and secure them with appropriate rack screws. Use the included hook-and-loop cable tie to group and route cables neatly behind the equipment. Route power and network cabling through the covered openings in the ceiling or floor panels as needed, and attach grounding to the provided lugs for added protection. Use the 1U shelf for non-rackable items or tools.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow and safety, leave adequate space at the front and rear of the rack for ventilation, avoid exceeding the 450 kg maximum load, and ensure equipment is evenly distributed across the mounting rails.
