The StarTech RK12WALHM 12U wall-mounted rack cabinet provides a secure, ventilated enclosure for mounting EIA-310 compliant servers, network and telecom equipment. Constructed from heavy-duty steel and finished in black, the cabinet includes adjustable mounting rails, a 1U shelf, removable side panels and a reversible front door with independent locks to protect your equipment. The enclosure supports four-post mounting with a total load capacity up to 90 kg and a max mounting depth of 400 mm, while ventilated doors and top/bottom panels promote passive cooling.

How to use

Attach the cabinet to wall studs using the 16 in. spaced mounting holes for secure installation. Adjust the mounting rails between 2 and 16 in. (50–400 mm) depth to match your equipment and choose either square-hole with cage nuts or tapped rails for device mounting. Install equipment on the four-post rails, use the included 1U shelf for non-rackable devices or tools, and route cabling with the provided hook-and-loop ties. Set the door hinge orientation during installation so the enclosure opens from the preferred side.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow and temperature control, maintain unobstructed ventilation at the front and rear mesh doors and leave clearance above and below the cabinet. Verify wall stud strength and use appropriate fasteners for the cabinet weight and installed equipment.
