The StarTech 4-Post 22U Server Rack Cabinet (RK2236BKF) is a lockable, freestanding 19" rack cabinet designed to securely store servers, networking and telecommunications equipment in office, studio or server-room environments. The cabinet provides 22U of usable rack space, a black finish, and a robust total load capacity of 800 kg while remaining compact enough to pass through standard doorways.

Advantages

This rack offers adjustable mounting rails with a maximum mounting depth of 830 mm, removable floor and ceiling panels with brushed cable ports, grounding lugs, removable side panels with independent locks and quick-release mechanisms, and caster wheels for easy mobility. The front door includes a ventilated glass window for visibility and the rear door is mesh to improve passive airflow. The top panel has cage-nut compatible square venting holes for additional mounting.

How to use

Assemble the flat-packed cabinet following the included instructions, mount the adjustable rails to the required depth (up to 830 mm) and secure them for your rackmount equipment. Route cables through the brushed ports in the top and bottom panels or remove these panels for customized cable paths. Install equipment into the 19" rails and use the grounding lugs to connect protective earth. Lock the glass front door and side panels to secure gear, and use the casters to position the rack where needed.

Usage recommendations

Place the cabinet on a level surface and verify the total equipment weight does not exceed the 800 kg rating. Allow sufficient clearance for front and rear airflow; use the vented front glass and mesh rear door for passive cooling or add compatible fans if active cooling is required.
