The StarTech RK920WALM 9U wall mounted rack cabinet is a 4-post enclosure designed to mount EIA-310 compliant servers and network equipment to a wall. The compact, vented cabinet saves floor space while providing adjustable mounting depth (2–19 in / up to 480 mm), a 1U shelf for non-rackable devices or tools, and a total load capacity up to 200 lb (90 kg). Constructed from heavy-duty steel with lockable removable doors and side panels, the RK920WALM promotes passive cooling and secure installation for small server rooms, offices or retail environments.

Advantages

The 4-post design supports heavier loads per U than 2-post racks and offers greater stability for servers and networking hardware. Adjustable mounting rails accommodate both square-hole (cage nut) and tapped-rail equipment, while removable and reversible front door plus quick-release side panels allow easy access. Included cage nuts, mounting screws and a 3 m roll of hook-and-loop cable ties simplify installation and cable management. Vented panels and mesh doors provide passive airflow; independent locks on each door and panel add physical security.

How to use

Mount the cabinet to wall studs using the 16 in (406 mm) spaced mounting holes for secure attachment. Adjust the mounting rails to the required depth for your equipment and choose between cage nut or tapped-rail configuration. Install your rack equipment using the supplied cage nuts and mounting screws, place non-rackable items on the included 1U shelf, and route cables using the supplied 3 m hook-and-loop tie. Lock each door and side panel after installation to secure equipment.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow and temperature management, leave clearance above and below the cabinet and avoid blocking the vented top and bottom panels. Verify wall stud strength and anchoring hardware suitability for the cabinet load before installation.
