The StarTech SATDOCKU3S is a USB 3.0 (5 Gbps) SATA hard drive docking station that provides immediate access to a single 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard disk drive (HDD) or solid state drive (SSD) without installing the drive inside a computer or external enclosure. It supports SATA, SATA II and SATA III interfaces and connects to the host via USB 3.0 SuperSpeed or USB 2.0 for plug-and-play use. The unit is compact and lightweight, designed for desktop use to speed up data transfer, backups, and temporary drive access.
