The OS2 fiber with a 9/125µm core supports CWDM across the 1260–1625 nm range and is backward compatible with OS1, making it suitable for interconnections between servers, switches and other data center equipment. The cable uses LC to LC (UPC) connectors and comes in a Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen (LSZH) jacket for safer installations in confined or regulated environments.

Advantages

This LC to LC OS2 duplex cable provides low insertion loss (below 0.3 dB) thanks to precision ceramic ferrules and UPC polishing, and improved return loss compared with older PC-polished connectors.
