StarTech.com 50m LC to SC OS2 Single Mode Duplex Fiber Optic Cable (9/125µm) is designed for high-speed data transmission up to 100G over OS2 fiber networks. The cable supports Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) across an extended wavelength range (1260–1625 nm) and is suitable for critical links between servers, switches and data center equipment. It is backward compatible with OS1 networks and is supplied with individual insertion loss test reports for verified performance.

Advantages

This LC to SC fiber patch cable uses precision ceramic ferrules and Ultra Physical Contact (UPC) polishing to achieve low insertion loss (below 0.3 dB) and improved return loss compared with older polishing types. The bend-insensitive OS2 fiber core and low-refractive-index cladding reduce microbend and macrobend losses for reliable signal transmission over long distances. The cable is manufactured to exceed ITU-T G.652.D / G.657.A1 and IEC 60703-2-50 type B1.3 / B6.a1 requirements. A Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen (LSZH) jacket reduces smoke and toxic fume emissions in the event of fire, making installations safer in confined or public environments.
