StarTech.com SPSMLCSC-OS2-5M LC to SC OS2 5m is a 5 m OS2 single-mode simplex fiber optic patch cable with 9/125µm core diameter, designed for 40G/100G CWDM applications. The cable supports wavelengths from 1260 to 1625 nm, features LC to SC UPC-polished connectors and a bend-insensitive fiber core within a yellow LSZH jacket. It is compatible with simplex patch panels, SFP transceivers and fiber NICs, and is backward compatible with OS1 networks. Each cable is individually tested for insertion loss and shipped with a test report.

Advantages

The OS2 single-mode construction and UPC-polished LC-to-SC endfaces deliver low insertion loss (below 0.3 dB) and improved return loss compared with older polishing methods. Bend-insensitive fiber and a layer of low refractive index material reduce macrobend losses for reliable signal transmission in constrained routing paths.
